It blueberry picking season in North Florida. Local blueberry farms usually open in April through early July, but weather conditions will affect the dates (always check the farms website or Facebook page).  Perfect for families looking to make the most of the outdoors, blueberry picking is not just a fun activity but also a chance to create lasting memories together.   • aim to arrive early since many farms close once the day's berries have been picked
  • bring cash, as many of the farms listed do not accept credit cards
  • pack snacks and drinks can help keep everyone happy and energized, especially if you have young children with you
  • apply sunscreen and bug spray to protect against the sun and insects

  • A family-owned and operated 100-acre u-pick and commercial farm just 2 hours from Jacksonville. They specialize in strawberries, blueberries, peaches, sunflowers, & zinnias.

Aunt Zelma’s Blueberries

  • Located about 90 minutes south of Jacksonville, their more southern location blueberries tend to ripen just a little sooner. Their season typically kicks off early April and runs until the crops are all harvested.

  • Their blueberries are chemical-free, they try to observe practices that will not harm the environment. They do not use chemical fertilizers, herbicides nor insecticides.

Blu By U Farms

  • Blu By U Farms is a family owned and operated farm that specializes in blueberries and uses ntural growing practices.

  • Directions: 5571 Long Branch Rd, Jacksonville, FL 32234. From I-295, take Normandy Blvd west, approximately 15 miles. Take McClelland Road left and follow to Long Branch Road; take Long Branch right and follow until you see mailbox 5571. Take a left down the drive and follow through the tall gates.

Braddock Blueberries

  • Braddock Blueberries is located on the Northside of Jacksonville. There are no restroom facilities so be sure to plan accordingly.

Go north on Lem Turner Road to Braddock Road (4 miles north of I-295), turn west on Braddock Road, go 3/10 mile, turn south onto Thomas Mill Road, and proceed on the dirt road to the end. The field is through the metal farm gate on the right.

Clay Berry Ranch Farm

  • Clay Berry Ranch Farm offers u-pick as well as pre-picked to the general public and commercial buyers. Their berry season starts mid to late April.

Deep Spring Farms

  • Deep Spring Farm started in 2015 with the planting of organically grown rabbit-eye blueberry plants. Check their website to make a required appointment to visit (includes a waiver/release). No drop in visits.

Dowless Blueberry Farm

  • Dowless Blueberry Farm is a u-pick blueberry farm in Southwest Jacksonville near Argyle. They typically open after Memorial day for the season.

HNH Blueberry Farm

  • HNH Blueberry Farm blueberry picking an hour south of Jacksonville. Their blueberry u-pick season opens early to mid April. Be sure to check their Facebook Page for dates and times.  This is the farm we visit yearly.

Kent’s Blueberry Farm

  • Kent’s Blueberry Farm is a smaller site that requires you to call ahead of time to make an appointment. They have local honey in addition to u-pick blueberries. Call for information: (904) 768-3484.

Morning Belle Farms

  • Even though Morning Belle Farms is in Georgia, it’s just a short drive from Jacksonville.

  • Directions: 762 Pine Dr. Woodbine, GA 31569. Go north on I-95 to Exit 7 (Harrietts Bluff Road). Turn right onto Harrietts Bluff Road.  You will be going east, and after about three miles, you will cross a saltwater creek. Then take your first left on Pine Dr. Go to the end of Pine Dr. (about one mile). The farm will be on your right.

Nana’s Blueberry Farm – Formerly Russell Blueberry Farms

  • Located on the Northside of Jacksonville and has a u-pick season runs Memorial Day thru Independence Day. They are only open Saturday mornings unless specifically noted on their social media.

Towers Family Farms

  • A family owned and operated farm located in Palatka since 2013. Check their events page for crop availability. They are open daily from 11 a.m. to 4 p.m., and closed Monday and Thursday.

Williams Blueberry Farm

  • Located on the Westside of Jacksonville, their blueberry u-pick season starts at the end of May and continues through June as long as there are berries available.

  • Directions: 2595 Stratton Road, Jacksonville, FL 32221. I-295 to Normandy Blvd; go west approximately 0.4 miles to Stratton Road. Turn left, and go until you see a Blueberry sign on the left. Follow the signs.
